Injections, Aspirations, and Infusions 

An injection is the as the act of forcing a liquid, such as a drug, into a part of the body, including subcutaneous tissues, organs, or vascular trees.

An aspiration refers to the extraction of fluids using a needle or syringe. 

​

An infusion is the introduction of a solution into the vein for therapeutic purposes, such as with chemotherapy drugs.
